Writing Experience:

Playwright: Almost a dozen plays, one-man shows, and teleplays.  Gretna Theatre, a major regional theatre, is taking my educational play Remember the Ladies: Wives of the Presidents, on tour to schools throughout midstate Pennsylvania; my third original children’s play, The Wolf Who Cried "Boy," is scheduled for its second live production this summer; and I’ve given three hundred professional performances of my own self-scripted one-man shows.


Copywriter:  Ongoing advertising campaign for Sleepy Hollow of Gettysburg, including flyers, ad copy, web copy, sales letters, and serving as a PR representative.  Ongoing advertising campaigns for my own one-man shows, including ad copy, web copy, flyers, press releases, and serving as my own PR representative and spokesman.  

Writing Teacher: More than five years as an adjunct professor teaching writing and writing-intensive courses at Gettysburg College, Elizabethtown College, Susquehanna University, Emory University, and Harrisburg Area Community College.  This included writing syllabi, assignment sheets, study guides, handouts on a variety of topics, and Powerpoint presentations, not to mention hundreds of lesson plans.

Business Writer:  Dozens of resumes, cover letters, business cards, and more. Created logos for Sleepy Hollow of Gettysburg and SGAcreative.com.

Creative Writer:  Published about a dozen short stories in a variety of small magazines; currently writing my second novel.  Also, a feature editorial in the Harrisburg, PA Sunday Patriot-News, a "guest expert" appearance in Ann Landers' syndicated column, and numerous letters in the Harrisburg Patriot-News, Newsweek, and other national and regional publications.

Internet, HTML, and Desktop Publishing:
Creator, designer, writer, and webmaster for SGAcreative.com.  Fluent with Windows, MS Word, Excel, WordPerfect, Powerpoint; learn new software quickly.  Have worked in tech support, taught college students to use department and university servers for electronic submission of their essays.

Public Speaker: A registered Commonwealth Speaker with the Pennsylvania Humanities Council.  Also, hundreds of lectures and guided discussions as a writing teacher (see above).  Oh, yes, and he's also an experienced professional actor.
